Importance of Love and Respect of Prophet Muhammed

The Love and respect of the Holy Prophet Muhammed Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam is the backbone  of Imaan without which Imaan cannot thrive ,This reverence , Respect and Love perpetrates to all the Khulafa  , The Ahle Bayt , and the Awliya and all those closely associated with him ,  All Deeds and pious works will show thier value only when this foundation is laid, without his Respect and Love all Deeds will go to waste

Here are from some Hadiths and verses based on this

Hadith1

Syedina Hazrat Usmaan Radiallahu taala anhu  refuses Tawaf of the Kaaba until The Holy Prophet Muhammed Sallaaahu Alahi wasallam did the Tawaf , All religous acts base thier signifance because of the Holy Prophet practicing them , these acts will show thier value only when this link to the Holy Prophet Muhammed Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam is maintained

Prophet Muhammad  Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam left with the Companions to perform the umrah (lesser pilgrimage) while the Quraysh were still in Mecca. The Quraysh would not let The Holy Prophet Muhammad  Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam and the Companions complete their pilgrimage, so the Holy Prophet Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam sent Hazrat Uthman Radiallahu taala anhu on ahead to Mecca with the hope that he might be able to change their minds. The Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam waited in Hudaibia with the Companions. When Hazrat Uthman Radiallahu taala anhu  reached Mecca he informed the Quraysh of the Muslims’ intention to perform the lesser pilgrimage; however permission was not given to them to enter the city and they kept Hazrat Uthman Radiallahu taala anhu waiting there. They told him: “You can perform tawaf around the Kaaba if you wish!”

But due to his loyalty and affection for the Holy Prophet  Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam , Hazrat Uthman Radiallahu taala anhu refused this offer; he told them: “I cannot do this before the Messenger of Allah has had the chance to perform tawaf (around the Kaaba).”

(Ahmad)

Hadith2

Syedina Hazrat Ali radiallahu taala anhu (The Imaam al Muttaqeen , Highest of the god fearing) sacrifized his Namaz for the Adab and love of Prophet Muhammed Salallahu Alaihi wasallam , you may have read this  popular hadith a hundred times , but refer to commentary in bahaare shariath, and also note the dua of the Holy Prophet Muhammed Salallahu Alaihi wasallam, he said that Syedina Hazrat Ali radiallahu taala anhu was obeying Allah even when he was missing prayer .

Sayyidah Bibi Asmaa bint Umais (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anha) narrates, “In Sahbaa, on their return from the Battle of Khaibar, Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) rested his head on Hazrat Ali’s (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) lap after performing his Asr Salaah and fell asleep. Hazrat Ali’s (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) lap had the blessed opportunity of having Rasoolullah’s (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) blessed head rest on it until the sun had set, after which Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) knew that his Asr Salaah had become qaza and he made the following Dua, “Ya Allah, Indeed Ali (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) was obeying You and Your Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Make the sun re-appear so that he may perform his Asr Salaah in its correct time.” Sayyidah Asmaa bint Umais (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anha) further states, “I saw with my own eyes that the sun re-appeared, with the peaks of mountains and ground becoming bright with its rays.”

[Zarqaani, Vol. 5; Shifa Shareef, Vol. 1]

In this incident Hazrat Ali (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) watched the sun set, knowing that he is going to make his Salaah qaza but he did not want to disturb the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He sacrificed his Salaah for the love and respect of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) for he knew that even Ibaadat is through the blessing of the Beloved Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). We therefore learn from this incident that after bringing Imaan, to respect Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is the greatest Fard of all Fard acts.

Hadith3

There used to be a Jewish boy who used to serve the Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and attend his gatherings. So you can see that even the Non-Muslims used to love the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam so much that they used to serve him and be proud of it.

How did he serve the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam?

Well he used to bring water for Wudu (Ablution) and once the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam used to arrive and take his shoes off, he would pick them up and carry them around until needed. If the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was about to leave, he would place the shoes near his feet.

After a few days everyone noticed that the Jewish boy hasnt’ been coming for days. Even then the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam wasn’t pressuring or possessing a hard temperament but he asked his companions that ” A few days have passed and I haven’t seen that Jewish boy’s face, They replied that he has been ill for a few days lying on his bed.

He, the Prophet Sallalaahu Alaihi wasallam said “O Abu Bakr Radiallahu taala anhu, Umer (Radiallahu taala anhu) let’s go to his house and see how he is. Now think for a moment that do we Muslims even go to our Muslim brothers house to see how he is? while the Prophet Sallalaahu Alahi  wasallam was so noble that he went to see a Jewish boy taking with him two of  the highest ranked companions. They arrived at his house and Prophet Sallalaahu Alaihi  wasallam sat on his bed.

The Jewish boy used to listen to Quran and hadith by attending the Prophets gatherings but the Jewish boy never accepted Islam nor did Prophet Salallahu Alaihi wasallam persuade or pressurise him to. These are the etiquettes of Dawah which should be shown by actions rather than words.

The Prophet Salallahu Alaihi wasallam asks the Jewish boy that why dont you accept my religion and read the Shahadah. The Jewish boy looked at his father but his father was silent and the boy fearful. The Prophet SalAllahu Alaih wasallam asked him again and the Jewish boy looked at his father but this time his father replied
“O my son what are you looking at me for, This is Abul Qasim (The Truthful Person) speaking, believe whatever he says the Prophet Salallahu Alaihi wasallam doesn’t honour every house and make such requests. He himself has came here so accept his religion and leave mine.

The Jewish boy read the Shahadah and then Prophet Salallahu Alaihi wasallam became happy and started making invocations for him. As soon as Prophet Salallahu Alaihi wasallam left his house, the boy’s soul left his body. The Prophetic vision saw that the angel of death is approaching, his mercy couldn’t tolerate that one who carried my shoes during his lifetime and filling water for my Wuzu (Ablution) ends up in hell fire.

The Prophet   Salallahu Alaihi wasallam came onto the street, raised his hands and invoked “Praise be to Allah who by MEANS OF ME took this child out of hell”

A young Jew became ill. The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) went to visit him. He sat down by his head and said to him: Accept Islam. He looked at his father who was beside him near his head, and he said: Obey Abu al-Qasim. So he accepted Islam, and the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) stood up saying: Praise be to Allah Who has saved him through me from Hell.

Hadith4

The Holy Prophet Muhammed Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam gives the glad tidings of a person weak in Amaal but strong in love of the Holy Prophet's Beloved Sahabas

A man asked the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam )said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Apostle." The Holy Prophet(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e., "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet, Abu Bakr(Radiallahu taala anhu ) and 'Umar( Radiallahu taala anhu ), and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.

(Narrated by Anas - Sahih al-Buhkhari 5.37)
Hadith5

The Holy Prophet Muhammed Sallaahu Alaihi wasallam foretells the emergence of people who deeds will be huge in number but they will outcast from religion and Imaan

Narrated Abu Sa’id: While the Holy  Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
) was distributing (something) , ‘Abdullah bin Dhil Khawaisira At-Tamimi came and said, “Be just, O Allah’s Apostle!” The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Woe to you ! Who would be just if I were not?” ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab(radiallahu taala anhu ) said, “Allow me to cut off his neck ! ” The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, ” Leave him, for he has companions, and if you compare your prayers with their prayers and your fasting with theirs, you will look down upon your prayers and fasting, in comparison to theirs. Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game’s body in which case, if the Qudhadh of the arrow is examined, nothing will be found on it, and when its Nasl is examined, nothing will be found on it; and then its Nadiyi is examined, nothing will be found on it. The arrow has been too fast to be smeared by dung and blood. The sign by which these people will be recognized will be a man whose one hand (or breast) will be like the breast of a woman (or like a moving piece of flesh). These people will appear when there will be differences among the people (Muslims).” Abu Sa’id(radiallahu taala anhu ) added: I testify that I heard this from the Prophet(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and also testify that ‘Ali (May Allah be pleased with him ) killed those people while I was with him. The man with the description given by the Prophet(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was brought to ‘Ali(may Allah be pleased with him). The following Verses were revealed in connection with that very person (i.e., ‘Abdullah bin Dhil-Khawaisira At-Tarnimi):

‘And among them are men who accuse you (O Muhammad(
Salallahu Alaihi wasallam)) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms.’ (9.58)

A NOTE TO THE WAHAABIS

Dont apply the verses and Hadiths based on Mushriks and Kaafirs to Muslims , This is a sign of the Khawarij, who laid these allegations on the muslims and also assasinated Hazrat Ali radiallahu taala anhu .

Hadith 1

Imam Bukhari  reported that Ibn Omar(radiallahu taala anhu) described the Khawarij as
Having applied verses revealed regarding pagans to the believers.

Al-Shaikh Dawood ibn Sulaiman al-Baghdadi, Sulh al-Ikhwan fi al- Ra’d ala min
Qal bi al-Shurk wa al-Kufran.

They will accuse the Ummah of shirk even though the Prophet Muhammed  (blessings and peace be upon him) said that his ummah  is free of shirk

Hadith2
It is reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar that the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed: When a man calls his brother an unbeliever, it returns (at least) to one of them.

Sahih Muslim (Book #001, Hadith #0116)

Hadith3
Prophet Muhammad(Salallahu Alaihi wasallam) said By Allah! I am not afraid that you will worship others along with Allah after my death, but I am afraid that you will fight with one another for the worldly things.”
